Installation Guidelines for Check Valves

1.Preparation:

Inspect the valve to ensure the interior is clean and free of debris.

Check the pipe threads for any damage or burrs.

2.Determine Flow Direction:

Crucial: Identify the flow direction arrow marked on the valve body. The fluid must flow in the direction of the arrow.

3.Apply Sealant:

Wrap PTFE tape (Teflon tape) or apply pipe thread sealant to the male threads of the connecting pipes to ensure a leak-proof seal.

4.Install the Valve:

Screw the valve onto the inlet pipe first by hand to avoid cross-threading.

Tighten the connection using an appropriate wrench. Note: Do not over tighten, as this may damage the threads or the valve body.

5.Connect the Outlet:

Connect the outlet pipe to the other end of the valve, ensuring the flow direction remains consistent.

6.System Check:

Once installed, slowly open the system valves to allow fluid to enter the pipe.

Check for any leaks around the threaded connections and ensure the valve operates smoothly without unusual noise.
