Huading can provide two investment casting processes: silica sol process and water glass process.

The silica sol process is used to cast complex high-quality parts that require excellent surface finish and precise dimensional tolerances.  

The water glass process is a typical process in the early stages of investment casting. It is usually capable of producing castings much larger than those produced by the silica sol process, but its surface finish or tolerances are not as good as those produced by the silica sol process. The water glass process provides parts with better surface smoothness and dimensional tolerances than sand castings.

The weight of silica sol investment castings ranges from a few ounces to approximately 80 pounds. If you are concerned about the accuracy of very small parts, we are particularly skilled in very fine detail work, including teeth and serrations. The weight range of water glass castings can range from a few ounces to approximately 200 pounds.  

The spectrometer material certification is provided together with all first piece samples.

Both types of investment castings can undergo various secondary operations. They include heat treatment, machining, electroplating, painting, polishing and polishing, assembly services, and even customized packaging.
